The Angolan International Continuing Education Program for Primary School Teachers in Teaching Contexts with Socio-Scientific Issues (QSC) is underway until September this year. The initiative is the result of the doctoral thesis developed by the Angolan student Nelson André Antônio Quissungo in the Graduate Program in Education in the Federal University of Ouro Preto (PPGE/UFOP), under the supervision of Professor Nilmara Braga Mozzer and co-supervision of Professor Célia Maria Fernandes Nunes. The meetings take place on Saturdays, from 4:30 am to 8:30 am (Brasilia time, i.e. from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm in Angola).
Entitled "A Argumentação Sociocientífica como um Processo Discursivo de Co-construção de Repertórios Docentes por um Grupo de Professores do Ensino Primário de Angola" (Socioscientific Argumentation as a Discursive Process of Co-construction of Teaching Repertoires by a Group of Primary School Teachers from Angola), the research project underpins the training program and guides the discussions carried out throughout the Program.
