Last week representatives of the Pro-Rectory of Research, Graduate Studies and Innovation (PROPPI) and the Graduate Program in Education in UFOP participated in the inauguration ceremony of the Inter-institutional Doctorate (DInter) of the High School Teacher Training Center (EFPEM) of the University of San Carlos (Usac), Guatemala.
DInter is a program that aims to train education professionals in the doctoral level, expand the internationalization of UFOP through a partnership with the Guatemalan institution and promotes academic cooperation between the two partner institutions through the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (Capes).
For the vice-coordinator of the Graduate Program in Education (PPGEA) at UFOP, José Rubens Jardilino, the cooperation between the two institutions allows UFOP to expand collaboratione with educational institutions in other countries.
As the head of DInter, Jardilino adds that this type of partnership provides high-level training for educators from the partner institution and highlights the importance of UFOP participation in this cooperation. "The inauguration of this program in Guatemala is fundamental, because international cooperation is an important item for the evaluation of graduate programs in Brazil with grades between 5 and 7, the best ones, " he notes.
The Dean Paula Cristina Cardoso Mendonça also participated in the ceremony. After formalizing the partnership, she presented the inaugural lecture entitled "Pedagogical approach to socio-scientific issues in doctoral training".
